Mr. Todd Scheuerer

Mr. Scheuerer was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida.  He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, Central Jr. High and graduated from Melbourne High School. During his Jr High and High School years, Mr. Scheuerer was involved in various clubs and activities such as:  National Honor Society, Drama performances, Latin Club, and participated on the basketball, track and cross country teams.  Mr. Scheuerer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies Education from Florida State University and a Master of Education from the University of Central Florida.  He is married to Barbara and has four children, Alana, Dylan, Beth and Katie.  He is also the proud grandfather to Levi and Caleb.  His first teaching assignment was at Southwest Jr. High where he taught 7th grade World Cultures and coached the 7th/8th grade girls basketball team.  After two years at Southwest, he taught three years at his Alma Mater, Melbourne High School.  Mr. Scheuerer was Assistant Principal at several Brevard Schools, Space Coast Middle School, Bayside High School and again at Space Coast Jr/Sr High.  Mr. Scheuerer was appointed principal of Southwest Middle School in 2008.   In May of 2018, he assumed the principalship of Central Middle School.  He is dedicated to educating all students and providing every student those opportunities which will open doors to a successful future.  He is extremely proud to be the leader of Central Middle School.

Mrs. Jessica Thomas

Jessica Thomas has been working for Brevard Public Schools since 2011. She was an English and Social Studies teacher at West Shore, Jr./Sr. High School as well as Heritage High School before being promoted to Assistant Principal/Dean at Satellite High School. After two years as an administrator at Satellite High School, Mrs. Thomas was promoted to the Curriculum Assistant Principal at Central Middle School! She obtained her Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida, her Master's degree from the University of Florida, and is currently finishing her dissertation for her doctoral degree from Grand Canyon University. In her spare time, Mrs. Thomas loves spending time with her husband and three beautiful children, exercising, and reading.

Mr. Cole Mannes

Mr. Mannes grew up in Brevard County and is a Central Middle School alumnus. He lives in the area with his wife and daughter, and he has a son coming in October! He enjoys reading, surfing, and spending time with his family. Mr. Mannes started his teaching journey at Eastern Florida State College before moving onto UCF for his bachelor's degree; he then earned his M.Ed in Educational Leadership at Stetson University. Prior to coming to Central, Mr. Mannes traveled and taught English in Costa Rica, and then he moved back to Brevard and taught English and coached basketball at Heritage High School. In August 2019, Mr. Mannes was appointed as an assistant principal at Central Middle School and is looking forward to making a positive impact!

Ms. Barbara Kelly

Barbara Kelly has been working for Brevard Public Schools since 2003 when she and her family moved down here from Pennsylvania.  She began her educational career as an English teacher at Southwest Middle School and moved over to Viera High School when they opened in 2006 where she held several leadership positions during her 14 years there.  At Viera, she started as an English teacher and was moved to the position of English Department Chair and the Director of the Academies at Viera High for the past nine years.  She obtained her Bachelor's degree in New Jersey and then earned her M.Ed in Educational Leadership at the University of Central Florida.  Ms. Kelly was appointed an assistant principal at Central Middle School in October and is excited to build positive relationships with the faculty, students, and parents.
